Q. What does "Home Use" mean?
A. "Home Use" means that you are not getting compensated in any form for the products and/or services you develop using the KAISHA-Tec Avantage BPM platform.

Q. Do I have to register the "Home Use" Avantage BPM platform software?
A. Yes, you are required to register the "Home Use" software using the Registration dialog presented to you after installation of the software.

Q. My use is "Home Use", but I am part of a group project all needing to use the BPM Foundation. What can I do?
A. A "Home Use" license is an individual-use license, and each member of the group project would need to obtain their own copy of the product and license to use it in the project. No compensation can be derived from the group project in order to qualify for the "Home Use" license.

Q. I am engaged in research projects. Can I qualify to use the "Home Use" product?
A. If you, as an individual, are receiving any form of compensation for the research project (i.e., you receive a salary, or funding, etc.) you do not qualify for a "Home Use" license. However, if your research is a personal project for which you are not getting compensated in any way, you do qualify for a "Home Use" license.

Q. I am a student. Can I use the "Home Use" product for my class projects?
A. Yes you can.

Q. I am a professor. Can I use the "Home Use" product as part of the coursework I teach?
A. No. Teaching is a profession and you are getting compensated for it. You may, however, qualify for an academic license. Please contact sales@kaisha-tec.com for more information.

Q. I am engaged in academic research. Can I use the "Home Use" product?
A. If you, as an individual, are receiving any form of compensation for the research project (i.e., you receive a salary, or funding, etc.), you do not qualify for a "Home Use" license. However, you may qualify for the academic license. Please contact sales@kaisha-tec.com for more information.

Q. Do the product features vary between the "Home Use" and the Commercial BPM Foundation product?
A. At the current time, the "Home Use" product offerings have the same features as the commercial product. However, KAISHA-Tec reserves the right to change this policy without notice at any time. In addition, the licenses provided include limited support, ie.e that provided by the KAISHA-Tec on-line forum.

A. There is not currently any expiry time for the "Home Use" software. However, KAISHA-Tec reserves the right to change this policy without notice at any time.

Q. I'm developing a product that I provide for free. However, I do charge for supporting this product. Can I use the "Home Use" product for developing this product?
A. No. Even though the product you develop is free, it is part of an overall commercial offering.
